Giovanni Zeno Giambelli

(Verona 1879-Messina 1935)


Studied in Torino with C. Segre . Taught in Cagliari (since 1911) and Messina (since 1912).

Giambelli was on of the main Italian expert in enumerative geometry (the Giambell's formulas are still famous), but he had many harsh polemics with Severi and was put aside from the mainstream of Italian geometical school.
