Studied in Pisa with E. Bertini and L. Bianchi with whom he graduated in 1900. Taught Mathematical Analysis in Catania (since 1901), Genova (since 1906), Torino (since 1908). In 1938 he was forced to move to Princeton (U.S.A.), because of the racial laws. He ha been member of the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei.
Fubini may be considered, together with his student E. Cech , the founder of modern projective-differential geometry. He has been very important as an analyst (Lebesgue integrals) and in the study of automorphic functions and discontinuous groups. He has been also engaged in Mathematical Physics and in applied mathematics.
Students: A. Terracini, E. Togliatti, E. Cech.
His selected works have been published by U.M.I, beginning from 1961 (Ed. Cremonese).
Main commemorations in the selected works; also A. Terracini, Rend. del Sem. Mat. dell'Univ. e Politecnico di Torino , 9, 1949-50, 97-123.
