Luigi Campedelli studied in Lucca where he had a very clever school teacher, S. Rindi . Later, he went to Pisa 's University, where he was a student of E. Bertini and to Roma where he became one of the most prominent of F. Enriques' students and where he graduated in 1928.
He taught geometry in Cagliari (since 1935) and in Firenze (from 1937, until he retired in 1973). After the II World War he became more and more interested to didactical problems and he wrote many outstanding texts devoted to undergraduates as well as high-school pupils. He was also president of the commission of the U. M. I. devoted to educational issues (CIIM).
Among his students we may quote A. Barlotti.
