Mario Baldassarri

( Padova 1920-ivi 1964)


Studied in Padova with A. Comessatti and graduated in 1941. After the second World War he returned to Padova and became an assistent in that University. He taught geometry in Catania (1953-54), Ferrara (1954-55) and Padova (1955-1964).

In the last years he dedicated himself above all to educational issues and to applied mathematics (linear programming). He also founded the "Centro di matematica applicata" at Padova.
